Up for the taking

This project revolves around para-host relationships, particularly mutualistic relationships in which both parties agree to be and work together. This scientific research is demonstrated through the performances of artists Nessa Gallagher and Kelly Marie. A 2 person, French knitted wearable, was made by the artist. Exploring relations between men and women, male parasitic culture and lack of female autonomy. Searching for methods and ideas around mutual work to create harmonious exchange rather than the enslaved cycle that many women find themselves to exist in in this male dominated society.
