This project is about the conceptualisation surrounding modern human origination. It was made through researching dream analysis, and the phenomenon of collective dreaming. Considering that humans are always attempting to replicate the African desert into our lives subconsciously, the work's purpose is to find ways to connect us through landscape neutrality. Considering a landscape that in itself when not under outside influence is neutral to whoever it inhabits, this being the womb, to create unbiased work. Africa originally was a neutral land, today, the womb remains the only neutral space.
Jagha is a multimedia artist, using soft materials, metal, natural materials and sound to create this work. Mixing soft materials and hard materials creates a juxtaposition of strength and tenderness to carry life and also nurture. Accessibility was the baseline in creating the work. Dreaming and origins do exclude, Jagha believes neither should the artworld, we should work to better spaces.
