Baiana

This project pursues the objective of motion, transportation and mobility. Through the history of the Baiana women of Brazil, taken through slavery, from Central Africa. This explores displacement, horror and peace, movement and stagnancy. All juxtapositions that slavery and the African diaspora must live with. This work pushes for celebration of culture through the sorrow of history. Putting the spotlight of forgotten Black women, inspired by music, food, colour and beautiful culture created.
